Born in 1935, Los Angeles, CA., I caught my first trout in the Owens Valley Gorge in the early 60’s. Fished my way north to southern Oregon where I have made my home in the town of Trail, near the Rogue River. I have lived and fished Oregon waters for over ten years with access to dozens of productive rivers, lakes and streams.
As founder of the Southern Oregon Fly Tiers I promoted tying for all skill levels, beginner to advanced tiers. Club memberships include the Southern Oregon Fly Fishers of Grants Pass and the Rogue Fly Fishers of Medford. I annually participate in the Northwest Fly Tyer and Fly Fishing Exposition in Albany, OR. As a club member of the Southern Oregon Fly Fishers I served on the Board of Directors for a number of years and published their newsletter as editor. Currently I am a fly tying instructor for the Rogue Fly Fishers. As a fly tying instructor I stress quality, continuity and creativity. I am married, have two children and three grandchildren, all living in the Pacific Northwest.
