A letter to us from Tom Logan

Hi, Bill.  I hope all is going well with you.  Life is good in these parts.  My new career as a private environment consultant after government retirement is going great.  I've never worked as many hours nor enjoyed my work as much as I have since retirement.  I still find time to fish, tie and teach classes though.  In fact, I was tremendously surprised last month at our SE FFF Concave in Gulf Shores, AL, when I was presented the 2004 Tyer Of The Year Award by the Council.  That pleased me!

I'm now preparing for the National Concave in August at West Yellowstone.  I will be teaching a half-day workshop on Historic Wet Patterns, and I have four patterns that I will teach to ten students.  The patterns I likely will be teaching will be a Spider Pattern, Irish Green Peter, Western Coachman and a Clyde Style Fern Fly.  I've attached a photo of a Fern Fly and Western Coachman, both tied in Clyde Style.
